About Us

Grief, compassion, and hope are universal human experiences. I write music to help people work through their grief and to find a renewed sense of strength. My hope is to give an opportunity to move on and get to a place where they can put one foot in front of the other. It is important to honor those who have left us, while remaining aware of the fact that these loved ones would want us continue to live full and rich lives.

I also write music that I hope encourages people to help others, to look outside themselves. Compassion is about operating more from the heart first; the heart then guides the brain to engage with those around us. Compassion must be ongoing, especially after a tragic event. At times of hardship, people are there for the moment, but we sometimes forget that the support needs to be ongoing. The continual presence of compassionate friends is needed in order to help move those who grieve or experience hardship into a place of hope.

Music allows us to get to a deeper level, to express things that can't be expressed with mere words. It opens up channels of healing and affects the heart. Composing has been a way to heal my own grief and allows me to get to a different place. It is a mysterious process. I find that after I've been working on a piece for a while, there's a creative part of the brain and soul that takes over and guides me--- the melody and lyrics start to flow and come together. I am grateful whenever I have the chance to share my songs of compassion and hope.
